A few weeks ago, my parents were in town and I got a really cool invite to try 33 Taps in Silverlake. Sure, 33 Taps is best known as a sports bar with hella awesome TV screens (14 at this location), but upon our visit, we also saw a neighborhood restaurant that focuses on freshness and sustainability with a “made from scratch” menu. The food is never frozen and locally sourced when possible, which is awesome and you can definitely taste it.
This isn’t your standard sports bar cuisine — it’s way better. The dishes are so good, they’ll get you to take your eyes off the game and declaring a W for your food. We tried the Beef Sliders, Nachos, Buffalo Cauliflower, Kale/Quinoa Salad, French Dip Sandwich, Fish Tacos, and Cinnamon Pretzel for dessert. Everything was delicious and so delightful — not only did I have an amazing time, but my parents did, too. 33 Taps wasn’t just an awesome meal, but a super fun family outing.
Thanks to Chris, Cecila, and the team at 33 Taps for such a great time! Also, thanks to my mom and dad for, you know, waiting a bit before eating (ahem, PHOTOS) and for being my ever-so-willing hand models ;). Check out the video above and the photos below for more!
