Hi! My name is Mallory. I’m a professional journalist in Los Angeles by trade and food blogger on the side. I write about TV and entertainment as contributing entertainment editor at Bustle, the largest website for millennial women. I love food, so naturally I love to blend the two in my writing — hence I founded Couch Potato Cook in 2013.
I’m no expert on cuisine — just think of me as that friend who’s always talking about where to eat and what to watch.
I’ve been writing professionally for more than a decade, writing and editing for major media outlets (BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, Bustle, New York Daily News etc.) and covering sports, entertainment, real estate, food, and internet culture. I used to write the weekly food truck feature on LosAngeles.com. I’ve also directed, produced, and edited more than 100 videos on the Couch Potato Cook YouTube channel, as well as written foodie screenplays and TV pilots, because I live in LA and have an MFA from USC’s film school.

Blogging about food, though, has been a blast! Come along on the journey and let’s eat.
