ChefBox in Pasadena — VIDEO

Sometimes, you don’t feel like cooking, but you don’t feel like eating at a restaurant either. Well, that’s where ChefBox in Pasadena has you covered. The new concept serves up delicious, already-made box meals from local chefs from farmers markets, pop-ups, and CPC favorite the 626 Night Market. Right now, ChefBox offers over 50 different meals by about 17 chefs. I got to sample some of the chef’s dishes at a tasting in the Pasadena store.

Local culinary industry veterans Albert Chu and Patricia Huang previously worked with the 626 Night Market and founded ChefBox to bridge the gap that exists between the high-quality cuisines that foodies want to eat on a daily basis and the talented chefs that prepare those meals. Pretty cool, right? I got to try Chef A.C. Boral’s yummy pork belly adobo dish (which I wound up buying for myself), @sunshine.salsa‘s Sweet Kale-licious salad, a sample of @sustainableculinary‘s shepherd’s pie, and Spring rolls by @aikandyskitchen.

Check out more in the video above and photos below! Thanks so much to ChefBox for the tasting and the tour of the new store.
