Hey there, Blogland! It’s been awhile. Well, I have been busy writing a lot for several websites (I’ve used that excuse before) and posting to the Couch Potato Cook Instagram, which is really fun. But there’s only so much one can do on Instagram. My background is in journalism and I’ve been writing about events for more than 10 years, so it’s kind of a habit for me to write about my experiences. So after a bit of a break, I figured why not fire up the ol’ blog again?
First up: The Food Forward Spring Melt at Tastemade in Santa Monica in April. I LOVE this event and it’s one I look forward to every year. I spent a lot of time helping with media outreach and PR for the non-profit last year and it’s such a great organization with great people. And the Spring Melt is no exception: It’s Food Forward’s big annual fundraiser and once again, I got to volunteer and help out! Just like last year’s amazing event, this year’s Spring Melt featured awesome drinks, tasty grilled cheeses from LA’s very own Clementine, and fun food-related activities. Thanks for a great time, juicy fruits!
