I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: I am super picky about ramen. It’s a big commitment in a big bowl and the last thing you want is to be stuck with a mediocre meal for the long haul. But the ramen at K Ramen Burger Beer at the Americana at Brand in Glendale is worth every slurp and spoonful. The casual concept right above the venerable Katsuya as an extension of the SBE brand serves up some of your good ol’ favorites: Ramen, burgers, salads, poke, beer, and even wine on tap! Seriously — and it’s seriously good.
The K Burger is EPIC with bacon and avocado, American cheese, caramelized onion and the chef’s spicy creamy sauce. I devoured the Snapper Poke & Kale in Yuzu Ginger Sauce — that sauce is incredible. And then the aforementioned ramen — like I said, I have a certain amount of commitment-phobia when it comes to ramen, but the Tonkotsu Style Pork Ramen with chasu pork belly and marinated egg is heaven. The noodles, the slow-roasted pork, the broth — it was like a ramen symphony. Now, I can’t stop craving it!
And yes, there was also wine on tap, which is just the coolest. Many thanks to the folks at K Ramen Burger Beer for an amazing meal! Cheers and check out more food porn below.
