How should you spend a rainy day in Los Angeles? Well, I spent one in April at a tasting at Kaya Street Kitchen in Fairfax, along with a Crescendo Ice Cream Pop-Up, hosted by foodie friend Tanaya of Tanaya’s Table. So while rain fell from the clouds, a bunch of foodies enjoyed some delicious Pan-Asian street food-inspired bowls and liquid Nitrogen-infused ice cream. And the results were amazing!
I tried the Happy Tofu bowl, the Kaya Toast, and the Cha-Cha Matcha green tea sundae from Crescendo. The tofu was so good and the bowl was incredibly flavorful. The ice cream was unlike anything else I’ve tasted — see the bread? You might think “WTF?” but trust me, it’s useful and works so well with the sundae.
