Oh, hey there.
A lot has happened since we last spoke. I started working full-time at Bustle as an entertainment editor (emphasis on the full-time & entertainment — I do not cover food there). I got caught up in contributing a bunch of articles to The Daily Meal, which recently ended its contributor program. But even so, one of my main goals for Q4 was to return to what started it all: this blog.
When I got the full-time position at Bustle, I was surprised at how supportive my new and old colleagues were of the food Instagram and blog — they are true foodie kindred spirits. I guess I’ve always been used to being maligned for being a foodie in the past (ahem, by former friends) that it was really nice to meet people and work with people who actually embraced it.
Contributing to the Daily Meal has been fun. I wrote articles about local bars, John Wayne’s bourbon, a cool airport hotel, political dinners, and more. But alas, now it’s time to return to my original passion for this blog. I have a lot of videos to post and a lot to catch you all up on. Maybe a new design will be coming soon.
I haven’t made all the decisions yet, but I’ve made the main one. This blog is back, y’all.
