On Nov. 26, 2016, Infatuation LA teamed up with two awesome Los Angeles food spots for an epic, crosstown Small Business Saturday 2016 at Mr. Holmes Bakehouse and Sweetfin Poke. I started the day at Mr. Holmes Bakehouse in Highland Park and it was PACKED with foodies and fans who were all about getting a taste of the spot’s signature top-notch pastries. Mr. Holmes Bakehouse featured custom alcohol infused donuts, spiked by Jeremy Fall (owner of Nighthawk). Flavors included: Spiked Coco Puffs, Spiked Honey Nut Cheerios, and Spiked Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The Jeni’s Ice Creams truck was also on-site.\
Then, I drove across town to Santa Monica in record time to head to Sweetfin Poke, which was actually the very first place I ever tried poke, just as the craze was heating up awhile back. They were serving up their special Bowl: Albacore with a Black Honey – Chamomile Ponzu, Preserved Meyer Lemon, Cucumber, Daikon Radish, Edamame, Habanero, Tempura Flakes and Red Shiso; and Special Popcorn: White Chocolate, Yuzu, Black Lava Salt. Really delicious stuff!
