‘Tail O’ The Pup’ Hot Dogs Return To LA — PHOTOS & VIDEO

Back in the day, Tail O’ the Pup sold iconic Los Angeles hot dogs in a wiener-shaped hot dog stand on La Cienega and Beverly Boulevards. And even though that legendary landmark stand is no longer, Tail O’ the Pup has returned to Los Angeles! First, they’re making a comeback as a food truck in West Hollywood, which is so LA. Next, the original Tail O’ the Pup will be re-furbished so it can re-open early next year in Downtown Los Angeles. How exciting!

Personally, I grew up eating New York City hot dogs, but I got invited to try Tail of the Pup’s awesome dogs and I couldn’t wait. I got The Manhattan (Saurkraut, Diced Onions & Mustard), The South of the Border (Pico de Gallo, Cotijo Cheese, Crumbled Bacon), and Animal Tots (Tots!!!). The hot dogs themselves were awesome, with the toppings never overpowering the taste of the actual hot dog itself. And the Animal Tots — what can I say? Tater tots are even more awesome when made animal-style.

Many thanks to Danielle for setting this up and for Dustin & his team for the awesome service! Check out the photos and videos below.
