As you can tell from this food blog, I’ve attended a lot of food festivals over the past three and a half years. Some have been really great, but some are amazing. But The Infatuation’s EEEEEATSCON at the Barker Hanger in Santa Monica was filled with so much fun and food and was so well-organized! EEEEEATSCON, the “food festival for the Instagram generation,” brought together food vendors from NY and LA, a full day of inspiring panels on topics from food and social impact to cannabis and food innovation, fireside chats with both legendary talent manager Shep Gordon and LA’s own Nancy Silverton and musical performances from The Knocks and Lizzo. Over 3,000 people attended The Infatuation’s first-ever food and music festival — wow!
I got to attend a media tasting in the AmexGold Lounge and ran into foodie friends Tanaya (of Tanaya’s Table) and Diane (of The Episodic Eater & Vintage Zest)! We pretty much got to taste everything the festival had to offer: from Pasquale Jones and chi SPACCA, to The Nomad food truck to Jon & Vinny’s. SO MUCH FOOD! Also, Tyra Banks was in the tasting lounge as well, doing her thing and looking fabulous as always. So cool!
