“There is no sincerer love than love of food.”

George Bernard Shaw’s quote above used to be the Food Network’s sign-off at around 2 .a.m., right before a parade of infomercials began to take over the airwaves, because Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri couldn’t go on forever. While those words have always stuck with me, I think Shaw missed the other sincere love, the one that kept me awake til 2 a.m. to see his words, the one that has half-inspired this blog and a very expensive M.F.A. degree on my wall: Television.

Cooking is a creative outlet for me. So is TV. And this is how the Couch Potato Cook was born. Here I’ll combine my love of both.

So come along for this ride. I’ll even post some recipes along the way.
