As usual, I worked on Labor Day Weekend — but it was mostly fun work! I got to attend the Vegan Street Fair Nights event at The Federal Bar in North Hollywood on assignment for We Like LA. I really enjoy trying out vegan food, so it was fun to check out some new places at this really energetic and lively event. In addition to lots of yummy eats, there was live music, games, a beer garden, and the Happy Cow even joined the crowd for a little bit.
Curated by @VeganFatKid, Vegan Street Fair Nights was a fun (and more affordable) alternative to the LA Times The Taste event that was happening the same weekend. VIP Admission is highly recommended, because it comes with a fast pass that I used many times — lines for places llike Burger Lords and Taqueria La Venganza were eternally long, but with good reason.
We had a blast and left with a full belly! Check out some of the tasty eats we got to try below.
Spaghetti Squash Pad Thai from The Federal Bar
PB&J Donut from The Donuttery
Rainbow Vegan Dots from Vegan Dots
Reuben Croissant from Ridiculous Baking Co.
